This beautiful pond was the vision of local builder Bob Schumacher. Latham Excavation was contracted to excavate this pond.

Lot 39 of Shevlin Ridge is one of the more residential excavations in the Shevlin Ridge Subdivision. This dig out was challenging due to two existing houses on both sides with major elevation changes. In order to have the water retained onsite, Latham Excavation created a tiered rock wall for aesthetic purposes that has an underground drainage pipe running to an onsite drywell. This residential job was located on a lot that has greater than 45 degree slopes. The mini excavator places rocks for a retainage wall while the Bobcat skidsteer delivers the boulder from the opposite end of the jobsite. Caution and experience were a must in order to complete this job in a safe manner.
